image This was great fun! I went into Sandgate Primary School and gave a talk about some of my work to the children. Then... (and in front of hundreds of children and teachers) with some rollers, sponges and some help from the children (eight in total) we created an eight foot by six foot painting in 40 minutes! We have a video of it which Folkestone Film Factory is kindly editing down for us so it will be on the website soon!
image The school provided some dance music so the kids sang along as we frantically covered 48 square feet of board by the deadline of playtime! There were fans blowing on either side of the board to ensure the emulsion paint dried in time. I loved it!! If you know of a school or an organisation that would be interested in holding a demonstration like this then do let me know!
image The finished article... The famous phonebox on the Stade, Folkestone. I donated the painting to the school and it's now hanging in the main hall!
